Ramenlappen Amsterdam Exhibition 2008

Ramenlappen is a project in the Chassé neighbourhood in Amsterdam showing artwork in (shop)windows. For this project the national costume doll presentation was put together based on population statistics of this area. Best represented were The Netherlands, Morocco, Turkey, Suriname, Indonesia, Egypt and Germany among more than 100 other different nationalities living there. The dolls were on display in shopwindows but also in peoples home windows.

Ramenlappen is een project in de Amsterdamse Chassébuurt waarbij kunstwerken worden tentoongesteld in ramen en etalages. De presentatie van klederdrachtpoppen was speciaal voor dit project samengesteld op basis van de bevolkingssamenstelling in deze buurt. Van de zeker meer dan 100 verschillende nationaliteiten bleken bleken Nederland, Marokko, Turkije, Suriname, Indonesië, Egypte en Duitsland het meest vertegenwoordigd. De poppen stonden in winkeletalages maar ook gewoon bij benedenwoningen in het raam.
