Bulgaria Rhodope Mountains Folk Musicians

Two male dolls made in Bulgaria depicting folk musicians.

On the left a bulgarian bagpipe player, mostly likely from the Rhodope Mountains because he is holding the traditional goat or sheep skin bagpipe; the 'Kada Gaida'. This doll has the remains of an original label under it's stand. Size 20 cm.

On the right a bulgarian Gadulka player from an unknown region. A gadulka is a tradtional folk string instrument played by using a bow (bow possibly missing). This doll has an original label under it's stand that needs further identification. Size 19 cm.
