Ghana Dolls Pounding Fufu

Two dolls made in Ghana, depicting a woman pounding fufu (r) and a lady carrying a parasol to protect herself from the sun (l). They both carry a baby on the back. Fufu is a dish made of starchy food crops like cassava, being cooked first and then pounded into a dough. Fufu is served alongside spicy soup or sauce.
