Japan Peasant Dolls Harvesting Rice

Two small Japanese dolls representing everyday peasant life. The one on the left is harvesting rice, holding a cutting tool. The other doll remains unidentified. Both dolls are wearing clothes made of kasuri; indigo colored fabric woven of ikat dyed fibers. Size around 12 cm. No marks.
