Romania Bistrita-Nasaud Dolls by Arta Crisana (02)
Two Romanian peasant dolls both dressed in regional costume from the Bistrita-Nasaud county. 'Romania' is on both stands, the female is dated 1973 but missing a label. She was identified and marked by the present owner NCDC as coming from Bistrita-Nasaud. The male is marked 'Coop Arta Crisana Oradea, Papusa Taran Bistrita'. (Papusa Taran Bistrita meaning Doll Peasant Bistrita). Size around 23 cm without stand.
