Romania Cluj Huedin Hungarian Dolls by Arta Crisana

Two Romanian peasant dolls both dressed in the Hungarian costume of Huedin, a town in the Cluj county. Part of the population in this area is Hungarian. Original labels are are under both stands. The female has a paper label that reads 'Product of the Handicraft Cooperation, Romania Zona Huedin'. The male is marked 'Coop Arta Crisana Oradea, Papusa Taran Huedin' (Papusa Taran Huedin meaning Doll Peasant Huedin). Size around 23 cm without stand.

Arta Crisana was founded in 1968 and is located in Oradea. This company is specialized in producing folk art like regional dolls, traditional costumes and rugs.
