Romania Ilfov Dolls by Arta Crisana

Two Romanian female peasant dolls both dressed in the regional costume from the Ilfov county. The one on the plastic stand is marked 'Coop Arta Crisana Oradea, Papusa Taranca Ilfov'. (Papusa Taranca Ilfov meaning Doll Peasant Woman Ilfov) The one on the wooden stand was identified and marked by the present owner NCDC as coming from Ilfov. She is dated 1973 (also Jan. 1974 by a former owner). Size around 21 cm without stand.

Arta Crisana was founded in 1968 and is located in Oradea. This company is specialized in producing folk art like regional dolls, traditional costumes and rugs.
