Romania Suceava Cimpulung Moldovenesc Dolls by Arta Crisana

Two Romanian peasant dolls both dressed in the regional costume of Cimpulung Moldovenesc, a city in the Suceava county, Moldavia region (Moldova in Romanian language). The female is holding a wooden jug and has a paper tag 'Romania Zona Cimpulung Moldovenesc'. The male was identified and labeled by the present owner NCDC as coming from Moldova, most likely Cimpulung. Size around 23 cm without stand.

Arta Crisana was founded in 1968 and is located in Oradea. This company is specialized in producing folk art like regional dolls, traditional costumes and rugs.
