Re: Dolls from TIBET LHASA. These two dolls technically represent Central Tibet (called U-tsang) region of Tibet, which includes Lhasa. They are made at a Tibetan Center in Darjeeling (India). The master doll-maker died about 15 years ago and these dolls are not made anymore. I know this because I bought the last few dolls in 2000 and still have 2 sets (6 dolls in each set) of these dolls in my collection representing all the 3 Regions of Tibet. I am also in the process of collecting ethnic costumes dolls from around the world with a plan to open a museum or exhibition in the US in the near future.
