Dolls with Formal Donation Letter

A clearance of an attic revealed a box containing a quantity of national costume dolls that her mother had collected. Gina Douglas from London in England kindly let me choose some and sent them over to me in May 2022. She even included a formal donation letter assigning ownership, for my records. It stated ‘Various national costume dolls bought or received by Dorothy Ethel Douglas (neé Hicks) [1911-1973] during her lifetime and given to her daughter, Georgina Lundy Douglas. The donor transfers to Josien Buijs and the National Costume Doll Collection, by deed of gift the item(s) described above.’ How cool is that!
