Finland Doll Åland Islands Vårdö

Doll made in Finland by Ateljee Eveko. The doll is wearing the traditional costume of Vårdö in Åland. Åland is a swedish speaking autonomous island region belonging to Finland. A former owner pinned a label to the back of the skirt which reads ‘Vårdö 1980’.

Folklore is in the air… uhm… ear!

Postcard

No postcard available. There should be a nice postcard here that matches this doll, to show you how the people living in Finland are dressed in their traditional costume.

There is nothing suitable in our postcard books at the moment, too bad!

Happy collecting,
