South Africa Unidentified Doll

Cloth doll. According to members of the National Costume Doll ID Group it’s from South Africa, maybe Zulu. But I have doubts about that. The blue back apron seems quite distinctive. So is the wool yarn at the front. That should give a clue but I have still have no idea. And is the doll male or female? I lean towards male…

Folklore is in the air… uhm… ear!

Postcard

No postcard available. There should be a nice postcard here that matches this doll, to show you how the people living in South Africa are dressed in their traditional costume.

There is nothing suitable in our postcard books at the moment, too bad!

Happy collecting,
